Accountability Coaching

An opportunity to grow

Accountability coaching is a space for ongoing, one-on-one support to help you take responsibility for harm you’ve caused, and build new ways of being.

Whether you’re beginning to face an uncomfortable truth, have previously attempted to make amends, or are just needing some support in thinking this all through, this process offers structured guidance, reflection, and practical tools to move toward integrity and change.

Who is this for?

While restorative dialogues bring multiple parties together, accountability coaching focuses on your individual work — building the self-awareness, emotional capacity, and relational skills that make true accountability possible. This is for people who are no longer in contact with the person they harmed, or when that person is not interested in a restorative dialogue for themself.

I’ve worked extensively with people grappling with the aftermath of causing harm—navigating shame, guilt, denial, and the desire to live differently. The majority of the people I’ve supported have caused sexual or interpersonal violence. I bring both compassion and directness, helping people understand the roots of their actions, take responsibility, and build practices for living in alignment with their values.

What Happens in a Process

1. Initial Call

We’ll begin with a short call to get a sense of your goals and context, and to see if this approach feels like a good fit. I’ll share more about how I work, and we can decide whether it makes sense to start together.

2. Ongoing Work

Coaching sessions provide a space to slow down and look deeply at the patterns, choices, and conditions that contributed to harm. Together, we clarify what accountability looks like for you, and identify concrete next steps that align with your values and capacity.

My facilitation style is warm, direct, and grounded. My role is to support your growth, not to judge or excuse.

The pace of coaching is flexible — some people work together for a few sessions to orient and plan next steps, while others continue longer-term as they move through deeper integration.

3. Integration and Closure

As you move through the process, we’ll revisit your intentions and reflect on what’s shifted — both internally and in relationship to others. Closure might include identifying sustaining practices that help maintain accountability over time.

“I was a little nervous but Julian and his co-facilitator made the sessions very comfortable and showed compassion. I feel like a weight lifted off and I accepted accountability.”

What does it cost?

Sliding scale: $50–$150 per hour. Coaching can take between 5–10 hours or more depending on the amount of processing needed and topics to be discussed.

About the sliding scale

A sliding scale is a way to make this work more accessible while honoring the time, skill, and energy that go into it.

You’re invited to self-select a rate that is sustainable for you. As a general guide:

  • If you have access to stable income, savings, property, or other forms of wealth, contribute toward the higher end of the scale.

  • If you’re meeting basic needs but have little discretionary income, the middle range may be appropriate.

  • If you’re experiencing financial strain or limited access to income or wealth, the lower end of the scale may be available.

Depending on my own capacity at a given time, I may or may not be able to take on new processes at the lower end of the scale. If that’s the case, I’ll always be transparent about it.

We’ll talk about fees together during our first call, and I’m happy to answer any questions as we find a rate that feels fair for both of us. Payment is typically made after each session unless we’ve agreed to another arrangement.

If a process involves multiple participants or complex dynamics, rates may be adjusted to reflect the additional coordination and facilitation required.
